Michael and Breanna's Antique Book-Inspired Invitation

I love clients that are up for anything. As soon as I heard Michael and Breanna's love story, I demanded that it be told to the world because it's so stinkin' cute. They kept running into each other at different points in their lives throughout the course of several years and finally, (in exactly one month) will be husband and wife! So for their invitation, I designed an antique book-inspired invitation that actually told their story in a few short chapters. It includes a tear-wrenching dedication, 3 chapter story (including all the times they ran into each other, as well as the oh-so-sweet proposal), invitation, directions/accommodations card and a detachable RSVP postcard that can be torn off from the back and dropped in the mail. There's also a bookmark to invite those special guests to the rehearsal dinner and farewell BBQ after the wedding. Enjoy!!

Rachael and Anthony Engagement Invite

I love sharing something I love with other people. Rachael and Anthony's engagement party was a creative collaboration between myself and the talented Rachael of Rachael Nicole Photography. Her ability to help style this party along + my ability to design= a true masterpiece. Enjoy!

Meet Breanna and Michael

I love when my job is more than just a job. When people I've just met share their hearts with me in a way they would as if i were an old friend. I love the opportunity to be a part of one of the most important days of someone's life; designing for someone's wedding is the equivalent of the honor (to me) of being in a wedding party. I couldn't be more honored to have the opportunity to work with Breanna and Michael who will be getting married this October and who have asked me to design their wedding stationery. For their engagement shoot, they enlisted the amazing talents of Rachael from Rachael Nicole Photography and came up with this incredibly cute vintage photo shoot. They have a unique story that involved a lot of running into each other, going their separate ways, and running into each other again and again until-bam-a ring! Their monogram represents this and how the different roads they traveled ultimately led to each other.

Included: monogram, save-the-date and return address label. Enjoy!

Interior Design Biz Card

My mom's been asking for me to help brand her, so here is what I came up with using the logo she designed for herself. She's an interior designer, so I've made a standard size biz card that folds and contains the info on the INTERIOR of the card.

Having too much fun with vintage stuff!!

Skull Drawings

In college, I was forced to take a Figure Drawing class, but I opted to take it online (makes about as much sense as taking Speech online). But instead of drawing from life, we ordered a book and drew from the book, photographed it and posted it on the website. I came across this the other day and decided to post it because it reminds me that my whole childhood was spent drawing and taking art classes and the entire time, I never knew it would end up being what I did for a living. I remember in college, I had no idea what I wanted to do, but it was right in front of me the whole time!

Yellow Balloon

I've been thinking a lot about really pursuing custom invitations as a business and for kicks, asked my future business partner (rachael nicole photography) what she thought would be a good name. Something quirky, unique and memorable. She came up with "The Yellow Balloon" and spoke about fun and freedom. I sat on the idea for a while and really felt like it embraced my philosophy of the importance of freedom in design. I want people to come to me who want work that is out-of-the-box, fresh, unique and weird. I want clients to feel like nothing is too difficult, too time-consuming or too...anything but perfect for their special occasion. Here's a rough draft. It could end up being something totally not like this at all, but here are the beginnings of some kind of wonderful.
